When your heart is broken, there is nothing else to do but to embrace what comes with it. And, it would be best if you didn’t think about the chest pain after a break-up or the uncertainty of being brokenhearted. Think about the feeling of empowerment that this new opportunity brings you. A bittersweet chance to do, and feel, something better. That’s what these broken heart pics represent.

Embracing the pain, confusion, and revelations that come from being heartbroken in a grungy, sweet, and comedic way.

Editorial Notes

These broken-hearted pics were inspired by a silly illustration that went from 404 pages to anti-valentines day shirts. A fun Sunday with my local friend Cecilia, where we started playing with cheap anti-Valentine’s props and polaroids while listening to Bad Bunny’s sadboi lyrics and some others bangers by Lana Del Rey.

These photos represent the idea of embracing the pain, confusion, and revelations that come from being heartbroken in a grungy, sweet, and comedic way. As a designer, I get to create fun clothes, but then as a photographer and stylist, I get to recreate a setting and a composition that was inspired by the clothing and the model wearing it. In this case, a pity-party-turn-into-dance-party.
